DIMAPUR, OCT 6 (NPN): Jeevan Pramaan– Digital Life Certificate (DLC) will now be accepted as a valid life certificate for pensioners drawing pensions through the Nagaland government, without requiring personal appearance.
State chief secretary Sentiyanger Imchen said the government had onboarded the Jeevan Pramaan system to obtain life certificates for continued pension disbursement to various categories of pensioners. The provision also covers pensioners of other state governments and the Central government drawing pensions through Nagaland. Life certificates generated through the Jeevan Pramaan portal using a pensioner’s Aadhaar and Pension Payment Order (PPO) number will be accepted after Aadhaar-based biometric authentication.
The digitally generated certificate can be accessed by pension disbursing agencies through the portal, eliminating the need for pensioners to appear personally or submit a separate life certificate issued by a competent authority. This will facilitate continued pension payments while simplifying the verification process for beneficiaries concerned
