DIMAPUR: The office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Sanis, has issued a travel advisory informing the public of temporary restrictions on vehicular movement along the Doyang–Mangmetong road due to ongoing road maintenance works.
According to the advisory issued by ADC Sanis, Amentoli Anar, the restriction will be enforced on the stretch connecting Chubi Bridge via Ashaa, Pangti, Sungro and Okotso. The temporary restriction will remain in effect from October 8 to October 15, or until completion of the necessary maintenance works.
The advisory stated that vehicular movement will be restricted daily between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon and again from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm to facilitate uninterrupted road maintenance activities and ensure the quality of workmanship.
Commuters and the general public have been advised to take note of the restrictions and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Motorists using the affected route have also been urged to exercise caution while travelling through the area during the maintenance period.
Further, the concerned department and contractor have been directed to ensure the timely completion of the works while maintaining quality standards.
The advisory was issued in the interest of public safety and to facilitate smooth execution of the ongoing road maintenance project. Residents and travellers are requested to cooperate with the authorities until the completion of the maintenance works.
