Achumbemo inaugurates CHC–cemetery road at Bhandari

DIMAPUR: Advisor, SCERT & Food Processing, Achumbemo Kikon inaugurated the road from Community Health Centre (CHC) Bhandari to the general cemetery, constructed under the Department of Urban Development, at Bhandari, Wokha on October 8.
In his address, Kikon expressed happiness over the completion of the road, stating that it would provide much needed connectivity to the cemetery for the public during times of bereavement, a DIPR report stated. He also highlighted developmental works completed in the town area, including construction of the SDEO office road, culvert at Tchupokhen Colony, and culvert cum road at Zuvotung & Meri Colony.
Urging citizens to extend cooperation and support towards developmental initiatives, the advisor called upon the people to collectively take responsibility for the maintenance and preservation of public infrastructure. He further appealed to the gathering to work together in the interest of peace, unity and progress.
During the programme, ADC Bhandari, Longasen Lotha, expressed gratitude to the advisor for his initiatives and urged him to continue efforts towards improving basic infrastructure and bringing further development to Bhandari Sub division.
Short speeches were delivered by B. Longshi Odyuo, Head GB, Bhandari, and Orenthung Kikon, GB, Medical Colony. The programme was chaired by Khonthungo Odyuo, Chairman BTC, while the dedication prayer was pronounced by Zujanthung Yanthan, pastor BTBC. The vote of thanks was delivered by David K. Lotha, Councillor BTC.
