DIMAPUR: Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Women Department held its 76th Annual Women Pastors’/Leaders’ Conference at LBCA Longjüng Ekhümkho (Centre Church), Vankhosüng, from October 6 to 7, 2026, on the theme “Longtsükakhong Tsüngthi Ethio Esopvüi” (Faithful, Fruitful Leaders), based on John 15:16. The conference was attended by representatives from 92 Lotha Baptist Churches with over 250 delegates. The theme was unveiled by Rev. Dr. Renbi Rangthang, executive secretary, LBCA, invoking God’s grace and blessings upon the gathering.
Liboni Humtsoe, retired director of Rural Development, exhorted the delegates to be guiding strengths in society. She urged women pastors and leaders to address pressing issues such as early marriage among young girls, drug addiction, and challenges faced by youth.
Nyanbeni Odyuo, women secretary, LBCA, served as the first speaker, emphasising the need for trustworthy leadership and reminding that a faithful servant of the Gospel remains steadfast even in small responsibilities.
On October 7, L. Meribeni Ngullie Kikon, associate women leader of Tchuphyangza Baptist Church, Wokha, led the Bible study, stressing the continual need for dedicated leadership that bears fruit in its season. N. Zubenthung Erui, assistant professor, Witter Theological College, Vankhosüng, highlighted the importance of leading believers according to God’s will, abiding in Jesus the true vine, and bearing fruit that lasts rather than fruit that was seasonal.
Concluding the conference, delegates unanimously declared 2027 as the year of “strengthening the family and society with women as faithful and fruitful ambassadors.”
Meanwhile, LBCA Women Department expressed gratitude to the churches, LBCA staff, friends and well wishers for their support and prayers, which contributed to the success of the gathering.
