Statewide drive to enrol left-out voters

DIMAPUR, OCT 15 (NPN): The office of the chief electoral officer (CEO), Nagaland, has launched a special drive across all assembly constituencies to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll, urging citizens to verify their names and file claims or objections by October 20, 2026. In a press release, the CEO office said the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the state election machinery were committed to ensuring the inclusion of all eligible voters.
The drive involves 17 district election officers, 44 electoral registration officers, 64 assistant electoral registration officers, 63 additional assistant electoral registration officers, 259 booth-level officer supervisors and 2,399 booth-level officers across the state. The office said proactive efforts would continue to achieve the objective. Eligible voters whose names are missing from the draft electoral roll can apply for inclusion using Form 6. Voter enrolment is a year-round exercise, and new or left-out voters can submit the form at any time.
Form 7 can be used to object to the proposed inclusion or deletion of a name from the electoral roll, while Form 8 is meant for shifting residence, correcting entries, replacing the elector photo identity card (EPIC) and marking persons with disabilities (PwD).
For grievances related to the e-roll or assistance with Form 6, one can contact 1950 helpline or visit helpdesks at district election officer offices and electoral registration officer offices at the assembly constituency level during office hours.
CEO office urged all eligible voters to check their names in the draft electoral roll and submit claims or objections before the October 20 deadline.
