Guwahati-Bangkok direct flight service launched

GUWAHATI, OCT 27 (NPN): Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA), Guwahati, on Tuesday commenced direct air connectivity with Bangkok, opening a new gateway between Northeast India and Thailand.
Managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, the airport introduced the service with IndiGo flight 6E 1085, scheduled to depart Guwahati at 6.15 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 10.45 pm local time. The return flight, 6E 1086, departs Bangkok at 8.50 am and arrives in Guwahati at 10.25 am.
Regular services on the route will operate every Wednesday and Saturday from October 31, 2026.
The new connection is expected to facilitate travel between the two destinations and strengthen tourism, trade and cultural exchanges between Northeast India and Thailand.
LGBIA currently connects Guwahati to five international and 24 domestic destinations. Its new Terminal 2, inspired by bamboo, has also been included in the Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports List 2026.
The airport said the Bangkok service would further expand its international network and reinforce Guwahati’s position as a gateway to the Northeast and Southeast Asia.
