Funded under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme and state resources, the Tseminyu DC Office Complex is being constructed as a G+2 reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structure. The complex will include a 150-seat conference hall, an elevator and accessibility features for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
Kenguruse expressed optimism about the project’s completion, while the contractor assured that the remaining work would be completed within six to eight months, noting that most of the major components had already been completed.
Expressing satisfaction with the quality of workmanship and pace of construction, Khamo said the project appeared on track for completion within the next six months.
The team later inspected the ongoing construction of the new DC Office Complex at Wokha in the presence of Deputy Commissioner K. Mhathung Tsanglao, contractors and other officials.
During the inspection, the team reviewed the overall progress of the project, examined key structural components and assessed the pace of execution.
The Wokha DC Office Complex is designed as a G+1 structure with two basement floors and is intended to house multiple administrative departments under one roof to improve administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
According to Kenguruse, the RCC work, brickwork and roofing have already been completed. Khamo commended the pace of construction and expressed confidence in the successful completion of the project.
The inspection team later proceeded to Mokokchung, where it reviewed the construction of flat-type officers’ quarters, including a Type-C quarter in Mokokchung town. The team also visited the ADC Office Complex at Longkhim under Tuensang district.
Khamo appreciated the progress achieved across the projects and urged contractors to sustain the pace of work to ensure timely completion.
During the tour, Khamo said the government was continuing to undertake developmental projects across Nagaland despite financial constraints. He acknowledged Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio’s vision and leadership in advancing development initiatives throughout the state.
Describing administrative officers as pillars of governance, Khamo said efforts were being made to improve infrastructure and facilities. He urged officials to ensure that welfare-oriented schemes reached their intended beneficiaries, particularly those in remote and last-mile areas.
He also called for greater public support for government initiatives, emphasising that collective efforts were essential to translate the government’s vision into tangible benefits for the people.
