Subject: Urgent Investigation into Strong Chemical Odour from Black Plastic Carry Bags in Kohima
I wish to draw your urgent attention to the black plastic carry bags commonly available in ration shops across Kohima. These bags emit an extremely strong and irritating chemical odour that causes immediate nausea and a tendency to vomit. Alarmingly, the smell easily transfers to food items and other materials that come into contact with them and persists even after the items are removed from the bags.
I have personally had to discard food items and precious delicacies because they absorbed the unbearable smell from these bags. How can such products circulate so widely in daily markets without questions being raised?
I urge KMC to conduct an urgent enquiry, collect samples for laboratory testing, identify the manufacturers and suppliers and take appropriate legal action in the interest of consumer safety and public health.
