DIMAPUR, OCT 30 (NPN): The second edition of the Lotha Tokhü Emong 2026 “Fathers’ Futsal Tournament”, organised by like-minded fathers, under the aegis of the Lotha Community, Padumpukhuri commenced on October 30 at the Futsal Turf, Toluvi.
Four teams, namely Doyang FC, Rhujung FC, Chumpo FC and Tiyi FC, are competing in the two-day event.
A short inaugural programme was held prior to the kick-off.
The invocation was pronounced by deacon of Padumpukhuri Lotha Baptist Church, Nthio Odyuo, while the welcome address was delivered by organising committee convenor, Er. L. Rhonbemo Kikon.
A special number was presented by Er. K.L. Moyo, followed by the oath-taking ceremony administered by organising committee information and publicity secretary, Echungbemo Kithan.
The programme was chaired by organising committee joint secretary, T. Mhonjan Kikon, while the benediction and ceremonial kick-off were conducted by organising committee advisor, W. Khonthungo Kikon.
Held under the theme, “Unity through Football,” the tournament seeks to strengthen fellowship and camaraderie among participants.
The final match is scheduled to be held on October 31, with T. Mhonyamo Tsopoe, Addl SP and officer in charge NPCS as the match patron.
