ATI launches foundation course for 56th NSS batch probationers

DIMAPUR: The inaugural programme for the 56th Batch of Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) Probationers was held at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, on November 2.
A total of 30 NSS officer trainees, selected through the recently conducted Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) Civil Services Examination, have enrolled for the four-month Foundation Training Course at ATI.
The programme was chaired by Peter Konyak, Lecturer (Computer). The officer trainees introduced themselves, following which Joint Director, ATI, and Course Coordinator, Kaholi Sema, presented an overview of the course, outlining its objectives and highlighting the importance of professional training in strengthening administrative knowledge, skills and competencies.
Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland, and Director General, ATI, V. Shashank Shekhar, delivered the inaugural address.
Congratulating the trainees on their success, he said such achievements could only be attained through perseverance and hard work. He urged them to give back to society by serving as role models, both as government employees and responsible citizens. Highlighting the role of the Secretariat as the think tank of the State government where policies are formulated, Shashank underscored the importance of dedication, integrity, discipline and commitment to public service.
He also emphasised the responsibility of government officers to ensure efficient, transparent and citizen-centric administration.
The programme was attended by Additional Director, ATI, Bendanglila, along with other officers of the institute.
