DIMAPUR, NOV 2 (NPN): The Salangtem Youth Union (SYU) has postponed its annual SYU Open Futsal Tournament, originally scheduled to be held from November 3 to 5, 2026, to March 2027 due to unexpected technical difficulties.
In a press statement, the Union said the decision was taken during a consultative meeting held on November 2, citing concerns over the smooth conduct and overall standard of the tournament.
The Salangtem Youth Union expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to participating teams, players, supporters and sponsors, while acknowledging their efforts and preparations for the event.
The Union stated that the revised dates for the tournament in March 2027 would be announced through local press and its official media channels in due course.
It also thanked all participating teams, sponsors and well-wishers for their continued patience, understanding and support.
