DIMAPUR, NOV 4 (NPN): Nagaland has ranked among the top five states in India for hair donation to cancer patients, with 40 donors from the state participating in a world record attempt organised in Chennai on November 2.
The event, titled “Hair For Hope”, was organised by Ladies Circle India in collaboration with Hair for Hope India and Adyar Cancer Institute.
In a statement, Hair for Hope Nagaland ambassador Amen Jamir thanked all donors for supporting the initiative, which aims to bring hope to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and create awareness about cancer.
Jamir said the participation of 40 donors from Nagaland had contributed to the world record attempt, adding that all participants would receive world record certificates.
She also thanked the donors for helping fulfil the dream of a cancer survivor and encouraged more people to support the initiative.
