Lift excommunication order: PAC plea to SH

Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the DAN has reiterated its appeal to the Sumi Hoho (SH) to lift the order of excommunication to its members who support any faction other than the “Unification” group.
Chairman, PAC, Dr. TM Lotha in a press release said lifting of the order would pave way and facilitate reconciliation and unity among Nagas, both overground and underground groups.
According to Lotha, PAC members met Sumi Hoho members at Satakha on August 14 last, and appealed Sumi Hoho to lift the excommunication order.
PAC also reminded that it had earlier issued a press statement on August 4, in view of the prevailing situation following NSCN (I-M)’s banning of the Sumi Hoho and Western Sumi Hoho.
“We had appealed to them to revoke the banning of the Sumi frontal organizations as such act of banning of any civil society/groups or for that matter excommunication of our own fellow Nagas will not be helpful to the process of reconciliation and unity among the Nagas,” PAC chairman said.
PAC further said the committee had been working relentlessly meeting all the underground factions, various civil societies and tribal hohos to bring about reconciliation and unity among the Nagas.
