Burial facilities can now be observed despite rain or sunshine unlike the Old cemetery causing inconvenience as, Funeral Chapel donated and constructed by a business family based in Dimapur will be inaugurated on August 23 (Saturday) to perform the last rites and prayers for the departed.
The inaugural function of the newly built funeral chapel at New Naga Cemetery located at Zani village, (3 kms east of Zion hospital -Darogajan) will be held on Saturday at 3 pm with Minister Roads & Bridges G Kaito Aye, as the chief guest.
Savi Liegise, president, Naga Council Dimapur, in a release has extended invitation to all tribal councilors of Naga Council, all presidents and members of tribal hohos, women hoho, DNSU, GBs and DBs, DMC members, pastors of various churches in Dimapur, chairmen and members of neighbouring villages and the press to attend the inaugural function.
In this connection, few buses will be made available at City tower junction to transport public to the venue on August 23. The buses will depart for the venue by 2:15 pm sharp.
