A 19-year-old Class 11 student identified as Pusha T, has been reported missing since Saturday, May 24. According to reports, the teenager who had recently come to Dimapur from Assam, was last seen leaving his residence around 1 p.m. on a red Platina scooty, wearing a white T-shirt and black half-pants.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday, the boy’s father, M. Tunyu Khiamniungan, informed that Pusha had received a phone call from a friend shortly before leaving home. However, the identity of the caller remains unknown.
Following his disappearance, the family lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Diphupar Police Station on May 26. Police have since launched an investigation and are actively pursuing leads to trace the missing youth. According to the father, Pusha had moved to Dimapur just two months ago and had earlier been pursuing his studies in Assam.
On the day of his disappearance, he had casual phone conversations with some friends from Assam, but none of his classmates or friends in Dimapur appeared to be involved, as they have all been attending school regularly.
Tunyu stated that this was the first time such an incident has occurred and ruled out the possibility of kidnapping, noting that no ransom calls have been received. He added that there was no sign of distress or conflict when Pusha left home.
He appealed to the public to contact the nearest police station or reach them directly at 7085843044 if they have any information about his son’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, president of Khiamniungan Union Dimapur (KUD), Kamthong, informed that the Union has been actively involved in search efforts since the day of the boy’s disappearance. He also urged the public to report any helpful information to the police, any KUD member, or the family.
