Body recovered

Kohima Police during wee hours on Wednesday recovered a bullet riddled body from Leike road.
According to Police, the victim was the person who was reported abducted from a bus along by-pass route Tuesday evening. The Police however, clarified that it was not “Capt” Ashun Tangkhul, NSCN (I-M). The victim who was yet to be identified bore two bullet shots- one each on head and abdomen. The body is being kept at South Police station.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Police during its routine checking arrested one “Sergeant” Peter Maram, NSCN (I-M) from Phesama check gate at around 8.00 p.m today. Two country made .9mm pistols and four live round ammunitions were recovered from the activist’s possession who was traveling in a marshal jeep.
