Maharashtra Governor Dr. SC Jamir and Nagaland minister for Power Doshehe Y Sema, have condoled the death of former FGN General and DIG (Retd), BSF, Zuheto K. Swu.
Jamir in a condolence message said late Zuheto was one of those few Naga leaders who sacrificed their whole life to the cause of the Naga people. “In his death, Nagas have lost a leader who witnessed the changes of not only the physical development of Nagaland, but also of the political compulsions of the time,” the Governor said.
Doshehe in a condolence message said late Zuheto was one of the “tallest figures amongst eminent Nagas, particularly Sumi community…His death has caused an unconformity in the matrix of our society that may take sometime to bridge the gap.”
Meanwhile, former chief minister and Congress MLA KL Chishi has also condoled the death of Zuheto, informed a press statement issued by V Sema, press secretary to KL Chishi. Chishi described late Zuheto as an “elder brother” and one of the guiding and leading figures among the Sumis.
