Training on disaster management held at Pfutsero

Disaster management refresher training for the sub-divisional disaster management committee search & rescue and emergency health management teams for Pfutsero Sub-Division was held on August 21 and 22 at A.D.C. Conference Hall, Pfutsero.
Renbeni Ngullie EAC(S) Pfutsero chaired the inaugural programme. Chubawati Chang SDO (C) & Nodal Officer DM Phek shared the topic on the process of preparation of SDMP and YDMP. Kapu Mesen, Company Commander Home Guard and K.L. Mero, SI Home Guard with four HG Jawans of Phek HQ gave the practical demonstration on search and rescue with short lecture on important tips for dos & don’ts during the fire, earthquake, etc. by Kapu Mesen. Dr. Khriesi SMO Pfutsero delivered the lecture on emergency Health Management procedures.
Altogether 15 out of 20 SDMC members from Pfutsero HQ attended first day of training. And on the second day, search and rescue and health team members from Pfutsero Town and representatives from various villages attended the training. The villages are Zapami, Pfutseromi, Lasumi, Lekromi, Kami.
