Tetso College held its 15th freshers’ social on the theme ‘strive for excellence’ at its college campus, with Rev. M.K. Lorin, member Board of Directors of Tetso College as the main speaker, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Lorin exhorted the gathering to work hard not only in academic field but also in other curricular activities, like sports and music where one could get recognition and would enable them to contribute for the development of the society.
During his short speech, Dr.P.S.Lorin (Principal) of Tetso College, encouraged the freshers as well as the students and highlighted on the college and how it survived with only 72 students and 5 teachers. Lorin, also said Naga society presently under confusion, violence, hatred and indiscipline, one must face the challenges and try to compete with the rest of the world, to achieve ones goal and become a respectable person in the society.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mhalo Odyuo, invocation offered by Sharon (president E.U),welcome speech addressed by Kaito N.Chishi (gen, secy) of TCSU, Nzanthung gave the speech on behalf of the fresher’s, Rokovi Kruse proposed vote of thanks, while Bokato pronounced the benediction. Highlight of the programme included presentation of a fashion show by the students. Ekonchan Jami & Kajeni Kroneh were adjudged winner of Mr. and Ms. Freshers’ 2008.
