Kiphire DC inducted as district president of BS&G

Kiphire Deputy Commissioner Temsuwati Longkumer has been inducted as the 5th district president of Kiphire District Bharat Scouts and Guides (KDBSG) in a ceremony held at the DC’s conference hall on May 28, 2025.
Alongside him, EAC Kiphire Nitile Tep was also inducted as District Commissioner (G).
In his address, Temsuwati expressed his honor in joining the movement and emphasized the importance of cultivating good character among youth. He highlighted how extra-curricular activities like Scouting shape young minds and pledged his full support for the district’s Scouting initiatives. ADEO Kiphire Lirila Sangtam encouraged school leaders to send teachers for Scouting training, recognizing its role in youth development. ADO(S) Kiphire, Tsipise Antony also spoke on the significance of Scouting and Guiding.
Vice president KDBSG Abraham Thrioli welcomed attendees and provided an update on the district’s Scouting activities. The induction ceremony was conducted by Inato Sema (DOC-S) and Imtinaro Longkumer (DOC-G).
The event, chaired by Arola Sangtam (ADOC-G), concluded with a vote of thanks by Longtise Scouter. A special song was performed by students of Loyola Higher Secondary School Kiphire.
