KCSU organises one day seminar

Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) organized one-day seminar under the theme, “life skills and enhancing opportunities” on June 25 at Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School auditorium hall with commissioner and secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry MK Mero and managing director, The People Channel, Rozelle Mero as resource speakers.
According to a press release by KCSU, M. K Mero asserted that the education system in Nagaland was not job oriented expect for few and therefore “we” have to strive harder to fit ourselves into the job market.
Lamenting that Nagas were hungry for “easy money”, Mero said Nagas should also remember that “easy money goes easily”. He also highlighted various schemes and projects available in various government departments and encouraged the public to approach the authorities of various departments and avail the same.
Another speaker Rozelle also stressed on listening skill, speaking skill, analytical skill, managerial skill, reading skill and financial skill and asserted that flexibility was the required skill for the younger generation.
Saying that opportunities come in the most unlikely place, Rozelle said one should grab when it comes “our” ways. She also asked the participants to get out of the spoon feeding habits, as it was time that they should stand on their own feet and feed oneself.
The seminar was moderated by Ngapunyi Krocha. Krosu Hesu and Rhavine Krocha enlightened the participants with melodies.
