MTBA youth deptt celebrates 75 yrs

Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA) youth department celebrated its one day platinum jubilee celebration during MTBA Sunday devotional service under the theme “Go Ye” (Math 28:19). The service was conducted with nostalgic jubilance with the attendance of many past and present leaders in the congregation.
While delivering his jubilee sermon, the first youth director of MTBA youth department Rev. Dr. Tatatemjen said that “Go Ye” was the final authority given by Jesus Christ to His followers to spread the Good News and save the sinners. 
 Rev. Dr. Tatatemjen said to embark on the mission, there must be a calling to serve Christ which he said would be “long term and costly” and that one should be committed immersed in His spiritual armour. Before embarking on the mission, Rev. Dr. Tatatemjen advised “clean your kitchen first and be the light in your family”.
National Director CEEFI and former youth director and pastor of MTBA, Rev. Bendang Longkumer also shared his experience with the church as its youth leader. 
The platinum jubilee souvenir was released by former pastor MTBA, Rev. Luin Jamir and certificates were presented to the youth directors/youth evangelists and office bearers of the past 25 years to date by the jubilee planning convenor and associate Pastor, Bendangwati.
The jubilee choir harmoniously presented the hymnal “How Great Thou Art” and choreography was presented by Alemla and friends. The service ended with the benediction by associate Pastor, P Toshi Pongen at the conclusion of the “Song of Prayer” composed by Arsashi.
Earlier, short speech was delivered by Kumlong Baptist Church Pastor, Rev. Lima and a special prayer for the youth was said by Pastor Rev. Ponen Longchar while the service was chaired by MTBA Y/E Temnameren. Invocation was said by associate Pastor (W) Rev. I Amenla and scripture reading by Temsutoshi Lkr while Praise abd Worship was led by the youth department
Later in the second session, the youth were entertained by James Basnet and Band–nominee and award winner in the International Music and Entertainment Association (IMEA) in Contemporary Christian  Music–2014. The band also received the Akademia Music Award 2014 and 2015, USA and is an official member of Grammy Awards. His popular songs are “Brand new day”, “Just the way you are (He loves you”. His vision is to heal the hurt and reach out to the youth through music.
