Traffic regulations, advisory for ASA stone pulling ceremony

In view of the ASA golden jubilee stone pulling ceremony on December 3, as part of the Hornbill Festival where several thousands of participants from all Angami regions and VVIPs/VIPs would take part in the ceremony, the deputy commissioner Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor, has issued the following traffic regulations on the occasion:- No vehicle parking would be allowed on the stone pulling road stretch from Chali Parking (KMC parking Old Ministers Hill) to Khouchiezie local ground from 9 a.m till the stone pulling was over; All vehicular movements would be restricted on this road from 11 a.m i.e commencement of the stone pulling till it ends. Deputy commissioner has therefore advised the commuters to take peripheral diversion routes for unavoidable movements.
Kohima Traffic Police: In addition to DC’s notification, the Kohima Traffic Police has issued separate traffic regulations for the occasion. Kohima Traffic Police in a press note notified that no vehicle(s) would be allowed to ply on the route from KMC Parking Lot (Old Ministers’ Hill) to ‘Y’ Junction (Phoolbari) from 1100 hrs till the end of the ceremony on December 3; no vehicle(s) would be allowed to be parked alongside the road from KMC Parking Lot (Old Ministers’ Hill) to ‘Y’ Junction (Phoolbari) from 11:00 hrs till the end of the ceremony; vehicle(s) coming from auxiliary roads to the NH/main road (route mentioned above) shall be restricted from plying during the Ceremony. All upward vehicle(s) coming from Dimapur and proceeding towards Imphal/Kisama shall be diverted from Para-Medical junction via – Fira junction once the party crosses PHQ Point; vehicle(s) coming from northern side and proceeding towards southern side (Kisama) shall be diverted from Census Junction – Naga Bazaar – Paramedical route once the party crosses PHQ Point.
While enforcing the above traffic regulations, the Kohima Traffic Police have requested all to extend full co-operation.
ASA advisory: Angami Sports Association (ASA) has also issued an advisory for the occasion. ASA requested the troupes to reach their allotted junction at 10 a.m– Southern Angamis at Mohonkhola and BOC, Chakhro &Western Angamis at TCP gate and Northern Angamis at Kezieke. 
Angamis are to compulsorily wear the full traditional attire for the programme. Person without the full attire would not be allowed to pull the stone. Further, ASA informed that no one would be allowed to cross the rope of the stone. Guest/tourists can walk on the side ways to view the pulling, ASA added.
