Youth leadership and personality development for community development training programme was conducted in SABT Kohima from November 23-28 by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kohima.
The programme provided rural youth with an opportunity to come together, share their experiences, exchange ideas and take up community welfare and developmental activities. NYKS objective is to enhance capacities of young people to take leadership and to help others live a meaningful life and contribute towards nation building.
The programme was animated by Lucy, Lohrii A. Maheo and DYC, NYK, Kohima John Makhabo. John Makhabo highlighted the aims and objectives of the youth leadership and personality development programme. He said that the training programme was conducted with a view to help young people translate knowledge, develop appropriate attitudes and inculcate values that would help them acquire the ability to be an effective leader, and imbibe proper leadership qualities to develop the community. Altogether 42 trainees’ attended the programme.
