FLC trainings held in Mkg and Tsiesema

To promote the cause of Financial Literacy/inclusion, one day Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) supported under FIF managed by NABARD was conducted on June 24 at Sabangya compound.
The camp was organized by Care and Support Society, Mokokchung in collaboration with Bank of Baroda, sponsored by NABARD.
During the programme, NABARD, DDM S. Amarjit Mangang, informed the villagers about the objectives and significance of financial inclusion and highlighted the role played by NABARD in financial inclusion programme. 
He further shared in detail the Farmers Club, SHG & JLG programme and role of NABARD in creating infrastructure in the district. 
BoB, Mokokchung, joint manager, L. John Guite shared the importance of banking, savings, financial planning and various financial services offered by the banks for the general public. He also highlighted PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY in details. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by care and support, director, Imchawati Kichu. 
TSIESEMA: Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) was organised by Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (N NStCB) High School Junction Branch organized on June 19 at Tsiesema village. The camp was supported by FIF and managed by NABARD. 
Introduction to financial literacy camp was highlighted by assistant BM and I/C nodal centre Kohima, NStCB, S.Kevi Hibo who called upon the rural farmers to approach the bank and avail credit facilities with viable projects instead of approaching money lenders who charge exorbitant rate of interest.
In the interactive session, Dusuzo Soho highlighted on the formation of SHG, JLG and farmers club. Soho also spoke on M.T loans related to piggery, dairy, poultry, SRTO and KCC whereby VDB/VCC guarantee was mandatory except in the case of SRTO. 
Social security such as PMJJBY, PMSBY and opening of various types of accounts, small savings methods, curtailing of expenditures and recovery of loan within the time frame etc. were thoroughly deliberated in the programme. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by assistant branch manager, Dusuzo Soho, assistant pastor Keneingulie Mere invoked God’s blessing, chairman of Tsiesema village, Ruokuotuolie Mere, delivered welcome address while vote of thanks was delivered by Ruokuotuolie.
