Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has affirmed support to the National Highway bandh call given by the Coordination Committee on Fuel Adulteration (CCoFA) if CBI inquiry was not instituted within 15 days to probe the fuel adulteration racket.
In a press release, BAN president Thungbemo Murry and general secretary Dr. Khekugha Muru appealed to all public and likeminded NGOs to support and be prepared to bear the challenges “in our quest for the Good Governance and fight against corruption.”
The association while appreciating ACAUT Nagaland for busting fuel adulteration depot expressed disappointment that the “state government led by Christian leaders” turned a blind eye to such open corruption.
It said no tangible result have been seen even three months after the racket was unearthed.
BAN also warned the politicians to refrain from patronizing a few non locals against entire Nagas public for their selfish interest as in the case of fuel adulteration.
It reminded the state government that “Corruption without remorse is the pinnacle of any corrupted system, and reminds that the boldness and level of corruption in Nagaland can shame autocracy”.
Meanwhile, the association demanded that state government immediately accept the demand made by the CCoFA.
CCN: Concerned Citizens of Nagaland (CCN) has extended its support to the Coordination Committee on Fuel Adulteration (CCoFA) demand for CBI probe into the fuel adulteration racket.
In a press note, CCN media cell said it was aghast to note that the citizens still needed to beg when “it should be citizen’s right without having to appeal, if it was a state where good governance, law and order prevails in tune.”
It made known that CCoFA’s demand for CBI probe was the demand of every right thinking citizen of Nagaland. CCN opined that CBI was required in this case, to deliver free and fair justice.
It also appealed to the Government to respect the citizens’ joint demand without having the need to let its subject suffer for justice, saying “Justice sought by heavy demand is first sign of Injustice”.
