With the aim to train and encourage the youngsters, Laii youth and students’ organization Kohima organized literary day cum get-together programme under the theme “explore and shine” at Baptist College mission compound Kohima on September 23 with non-commission officer 164 infantry battalion territorial army (home and hearth) Naga, Ng. Jonah Awuh as the chief guest and manager Bonanza lodge Kohima P. Kavisü Chodi as the guest of honour.
Chief guest in his speech encouraged the students’ community to explore their hidden talent and shine for God’s glory. He said a student’s life could go a step higher and better with patience, confidence and love.
Awuh reminded that youth were the pillars of good society and source of development. He challenged the students and young people to work hard saying that success was not by magic or luck but through much struggle. He advised the parents not to discourage their children’s talent and potentiality.
Programme was compeered by ND Stevenson and D. Honey, innovation prayer by president Vafümai Union Kohima, Pfoni and special song was presented by Vafümai Women Society. Around 200 persons participated at the programme including students, public leaders, church leaders and others.
