AAA conducted at CON, CIHSR

The Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) inspection was conducted at the College of Nursing (CON), CIHSR on March 18. The audit was undertaken by a team from the Department of Higher Education to comprehensively review the academic and administrative functioning of the College.
The expert team was led by the Convenor Dr.Watijungshi, Former additional director, Higher Education and members Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Rtd. principal, Dimapur Government College and Dr. Visakhonu Hibo, principal, Japfu Christian College, Kohima.
During the audit, the team engaged in interactive sessions with the management, faculty members, students, alumni, and non-teaching staff to gain insights into the teaching–learning processes, student support systems, and overall institutional practices. Key areas reviewed included curriculum implementation, internal assessment mechanisms, research activities, and community engagement initiatives.
The audit team also carried out a physical verification of the institutional infrastructure, including classrooms, laboratories, library facilities, and recreational resources. The team appreciated its innovative teaching-learning methodologies, student-centered approach, committed faculty, and strong emphasis on experiential and community-based learning. The adequacy and effective utilization of facilities and resources for student training were also positively acknowledged.
Constructive feedback and recommendations were provided to further strengthen the quality of education and enhance institutional practices. The inspection concluded with a closing meeting, during which preliminary observations and feedback were shared with the faculty and administration. The College of Nursing reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to quality assurance and continuous enhancement in nursing education.
