Aadhaar enrolment camp at KODH

Nodal department for enrolment of Aadhaar, commissioner Nagaland, has organised special Aadhaar enrolment camp at Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home (KODH) as part of its initiative to provide the facility to orphan students.

Government of Nagaland has so far enrolled 68% of its population and in order to maintain a balance in population coverage within a stipulated period of time, rigorous efforts have been made by conducting special Aadhaar enrolment camps especially in far flung areas.

Majority of adult population has already been enrolled in Aadhaar and now the State government has redirected its focus towards enrolling infants (0-5 years) and school students.

Keeping in mind to gift unique ID to every infant’s/school student, enrolment of this section of the population has been carried out. Aadhaar would help orphans to get admissions in schools, open bank accounts, avail scholarships besides other social welfare schemes.
