Aam Admi Party (AAP) Nagaland unit has solely blamed the present government for their negligence that led to the collapse of the bridge at 4th Mile.
In a press note, AAP state unit convenor, Dr. S Amos Lkr said the Dhansiri River Flood Control Board had also complaint since 2015. AAP said as per the first hand information Rs. 37.66 crores were sanctioned to construct new RCC Girder Bridge. However, it lamented that the work has not been implemented which affects the livelihood of the people from more than 60 villages.
AAP has also blamed the Dimapur district administration for the loss of lives and collapsed of bridge for allowing light vehicle to pass the bridge as per the current notice placed on the bridge. It said the notice was contradictory to earlier notice directing vehicles not to ply the bridge.
Aam Admi Party has also asked the government to respond to the demands and appeal of the citizens within 15 days failing which it said the government would be fully responsible for any untoward incidents.
Meanwhile, AAP Nagaland has expressed condolence to the bereaved families.
