
The Aboi Area Students’ Union (AASU) will be imposing the policy of “No work, no pay” within its jurisdiction based on a resolution adopted by the union.
In a press release AASU president, Mankhat Kaihi and general secretary, Buangh Konyak stated that the union had requested all HODS, officers and staff within Aboi area to abide by the union’s directives by being available at their own posting place every working day and keep their offices functioning.
AASU stated that sub-divisional heads, and HODs were not in station leaving the whole department paralyzed with the staff inactive, and works and files kept pending. Information about policies and programs are not disseminated to the public on time, it further claimed.
The union warned that such irregularity and negligence will not be tolerated by the union and urged all the HODs to monitor and supervise their departments’ efficiently.
AASU also stated that it stands tooth and nail against transfer without posting and the union shall not entertain any proxies or substitution in any governmental department within its jurisdiction.
The AASU added that it would look after developmental works and no completion certificates will be issued without proper verification of the work, as per their union’s resolution.
The union warned that any one found violating the directive shall be held accountable for any untoward incidents that may arise due to it.
