AAUD holds 4th general session

Aghunato Areami Union Dimapur (AAUD) held its 4th general session at Aqua Mellow Park, Naga United Village Dimapur, with Pukhayi Sumi advisor of Food & Civil Supply, LMCP and NSDMA, as the special guest on November 9.

A press release from AAUD information secretary, Mulato Katty stated that, Pukhayi in his address lauded AAUD for its various contribution towards the service of the people. While stating that due to distinct geographical feature of Aghunato located between two rivers Tsutha and Tizu, Pukhayi said that the first Indo-Naga battle was fought at Aghunato and as such Aghunato was a historical place in Naga history. 

Due to the hardworking dedication of forefathers, Pukhayi added that God has been blessing the area people both physical and spiritually and therefore they should carry forward the legacy of forefathers.

A special number was presented by Vilivi Murrumi Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM), presidential speech was delivered by president AAUD Akashe Zhimomi. Hukiye Yeptho vice president conducts discussion hour, special entertainment was presented by Tokhuyi Yepthomi. Programme was chaired by Vihoshe Yeptho organising secretary AAUD.

The new team of office bearers was also elected for the term 2020-2022, with Akashe Zhimomi as chairman Hukiye K Yepthomi and Hokuto Tissica as vice chairman, Otoka H Yeptho as secretary along with 13 others.  

Dedicatory prayer for the newly elected office bearers was pronounced by Rev Shikuho Zhimomi, secretary mission department WSBAK

Invocation was offered by Lhokishe Achumi, pastor Eralibill Baptist Church and vote of thanks delivered by Kakheto Yepthomi vice chairman AAUD.
