Dimapur Area ABAM Youth Sunday was held at Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) Duncan, organized by Dimapur Area Youth Director Telongjem on August 10.
Speaking on the occasion under the theme ‘Arise O Youth’, Deputy Commissioner Maongwati said 70% of today’s world comprise of youths living in a fast progressing life. Citing examples of Hitler, who tried to motivate the youth before invading the world, the DC encouraged the youths, who possess the ‘power’ to utilize this particular span of lifetime to testify about Jesus to others.
The programme attended by the 12 affiliated churches of DABA also witnessed skits and dramas based on moral grounds. Another highlight of the programme included winner of ‘Dress Code’ judged by the elders from among all the youth representatives, wherein the title was won by Borlingri (Female) and Sugar Mill (Male). An attractive number as ‘Youth Directors Special’ was presented by the twelve youth directors of the affiliated churches.
Praise and worship was led by DABA youth.
Earlier welcome speech was pronounced by Tushi Longkumer and vote of thanks by Sunep Imsong, youth promoter.
