
NBCC general secretary Rev. Dr. Kethozelhou Keyho has called upon the youth not to remain complacent Christians but to be true and faithful Christians at the concluding day of the 4th Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang Youth Department (ABAMYD) triennial conference on October 4.
A press release by media cell 4th ABAMYD stated that Rev. Dr. Keyho said that youth from 1536 churches under the NBCC could do wonders if given the platform to carry forth the message of love and peace, thereby transforming the Nagas from “head hunters to soul hunters”.
Recalling the history of 143 years Christianity in Nagaland, NBCC general secretary said “our forefathers went through a difficult time because of their new found faith” in the midst of non Christian society but today things have completely changed and Nagaland was considered to be the only Christian state with 99 % Christians.
He referred to the theme of the conference “Stir Up” and invoked the blessing of God to “stir us up, wake us up” to be a true Christian.
In the devotional service Rev. Dr. Nuklu Lkr pronounced a special prayer for ABAM youth invoking God’s blessing for them.
In the evening, workshops were held separately for youth directors, crusaders, cross road and cadet with Rev. Dr. Keyho, lecturer, Life Transforming college International Siliguri, Ben Longchar, asstt. professor FAC Dr. Aotemsu and administrator Hope Academy, Dimapur Sashila as resource persons.
The conference concluded with a grand celebration at Impur ground where youth from various churches presented their talents.w
