ACS notifies on bye-election

In view of the bye-election to the 10-Northern Angami–I (ST) Assembly Constituency under Kohima district, on July 29, 2017, it has been notified that all establishments including government offices and shops would remain closed in the area falling under the said constituency on the day of poll. 
In a notification, additional chief secretary (home), Temjen Toy, stated that paid holiday would be granted to all employees in the area of the constituency, including those electors working outside the constituency in order to enable them to participate and exercise their franchise.
DC&DEO notifies
Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Election Officer (DEO) Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, has informed the political parties and candidates that no campaign can be carried out in the period of 48 hours ending with the hour fixed for the close of poll, for the bye election to the 10-Northern Angami-I A/C.
Accordingly, DEO has informed all political functionaries, party workers, procession functionaries, campaign functionaries etc from outside the 10 Northern Angami–I A/C, who are not voters of the constituency, to leave the constituency by 4pm of July 27, 2017.
