State Tobacco Control Cell (STCC), Nagaland has been conducting activities such as focused group discussions (FGDs) with tobacco users, distribution of IEC materials in quarantine centers, government offices, markets and advocacy for tobacco free village in all the districts during the week.
A press release from STCC stated that, Dr C Tetseo, state nodal officer, NTCP stressed on the need of district administration and village councils to strengthen the ban on spitting and sale of chewable tobacco products in view of the increasing number of positive cases in the state.
