Activities organised for students

As part of the academic and extracurricular activities, educational institutions across the state organised various programmes for the students.
CVS&AH: A career counselling-cum-motivational talk on “scope of veterinary graduates in private sector” was organised by the placement cell of College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CVS&AH) Jalukie, Nagaland on March 16 for the students of the college.
A press release by CVS&AH informed that the lecture, which was the 4th among the series of career counselling-cum- motivational talks, was funded by the Career Development Centre, NAHEP, Central Agricultural University, Imphal. During the programme, business manager- animal safety, Neogen Food and Animal Security (India) Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Biswajit Barkataki explained in detail about career opportunities for veterinary graduates in private sector.
Chairman placement cell and dean I/c, professor Gunjan Das hoped that the lecture would encourage the students of north eastern region of India to choose private sector as a lucrative career opportunity.
NCC 25 Naga Bn: The NCC 25 Naga Bn organised a “career guidance workshop” at Yingli College, Longleng on March 17. The workshop covered various aspects of joining Armed Forces as Commissioned Officers like eligibility, role and benefits for men and women, pay and allowances etc. Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer of 25 Naga Bn NCC, Mokokchung delivered an audio-visual presentation on the occasion and exhorted the young students including the NCC cadets of the college to consider joining the Armed Forces. Principal of the college, Dr T Temsu Imti, who also spoke at the workshop encouraged the students to utilize the golden opportunity to make Armed Forces as their career choice and serve the country with honour.
