Actor Jatin Bora releases Assamese short film ‘Nirvaana’

Nirvaana, the third Assamese short film produced under the banner of Heartbeat Production, was officially released at Aideo Cinema Hall in Panjabari, Guwahati, on October 9, marking a new cinematic venture exploring psychological stress and emotional healing.
Popular Assamese actor Jatin Bora formally released the film, while acclaimed actress Sagarika Goswami inaugurated the event by lighting the traditional lamp. The special screening and launch of the 55-minute film was attended by members of the cast and crew, media representatives and several prominent personalities from Assam’s cultural fraternity, adding grandeur to the occasion.
Talented actress Rujula Das has played a key role in bringing the short film to life, contributing its story, screenplay and dialogues while also portraying the lead character.
Nirvaana has been directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Kripal Kalita and produced by Basanta Kumar Das. Featuring a blend of experienced actors and emerging talents, the film explores the growing challenges of psychological stress in contemporary life and the journey towards emotional healing.
The film features an ensemble cast comprising Rujula Das, Champak Sharma, Mallika Sharma, Ruma Kalita, Dikshit Barman, Jishnu, Dibya Pratim Bhagawati, Raj Kulanandan Saikia, Jyotishman Saikia, Violina Deka, Harshil Kalita, Kiara Sharma Das and Madhusmita Kalita Pathak, among others. The film also features two songs performed by emerging artiste Shreya Kashyap, adding to its emotional and musical appeal.
One of the tracks has been written by Binisha Devi, while Rujula Das has composed its music and tune.
