ACVA Wokha to impose ‘chakka bandh’

All Vehicle Association (ACVA) Wokha district on Wednesday announced its decision to impose indefinite ‘chakka bandh’ on all commercial vehicles within Wokha district starting October 9, 2022 from 5am onwards.


In a press release, action committee convenor Mhonbemo Murry and general secretary Nyanbemo Patton stated that the bandh has been called to protest against the failure to respond to their grievances of on the issue of non-disbursement of commercial fares incurred during election duty in February 2023. The association cautioned that heavy penalties would be imposed against those who defied the bandh.
