ADC Chiephobozou urges supervisors to strictly follow census guidelines

DIMAPUR: A weekly Census review meeting was held at the office chamber of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Chiephobozou on July 8 to assess the progress of the ongoing House Listing Operation. The meeting was chaired by ADC Vekusheyi Rhakho, who emphasized the importance of completeness and accuracy in census enumeration.
According to a DIPR report, addressing the supervisors, the ADC highlighted that the objective of the meeting was to review census activities, identify challenges, share solutions and good practices and ensure timely completion of the operation. He reminded supervisors to conduct regular visits and random checks to physically guide enumerators and clear their doubts. Stressing the importance of confidentiality, he urged them to strictly adhere to the Acts, rules and operational guidelines issued by the Census Department. He further directed supervisors to take immediate corrective measures wherever errors were detected and to seek guidance from Master Trainers or Census Nodal Officers when necessary.
During the meeting, supervisors presented their operational and progress reports and shared challenges faced in the field. Officials from the Directorate of Census, Kohima, including Assistant Director (T), Chuyalo Kath and Senior Executive, Dr. Kekrietshunuo Kire, interacted with the supervisors and provided necessary guidance. Field trainers for the Census Operation, lecturer DIET Chiechama, Alemsongla Jamir and lecturer DIET Chiechama, Ruthla Sangtam, also highlighted key guidelines and issues. The meeting was attended by Chiephobozou Town Charge Officer, EAC Viketoulie Metha, and Botsa Charge Officer, EAC Kohima, Ane Khieya.
