Additional deputy commissioner and electoral registration officer (ADC & ERO) Phuleshe K Yepthomi Phek has informed that election commission of India has directed to undertake special summary revision of photo electoral rolls w.r.t January 1, 2022, as qualifying date in all state/UTs (except UT of Jammu and Kashmir). In a notification, Phuleshe informed that pre-revision activities for removal of all DSEs/multiple entries, logical errors etc., H2H verification through BLOs, proper formation of section and rationalisation of polling stations would be conducted on August 9 to October 31.Meanwhile, revision activities on publication of integrated draft electoral roll would be conducted on October 1; period of filing claims and objection on November 1-30; special campaign dates as suggested by CEOs; disposal of claims and objections on December 20 and final publication of electoral roll on January 5, 2022.
