ADC Pungro issues travel advisory

DIMAPUR

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pungro, Neilezo Tep has issued an order enforcing partial restrictions on vehicular movement between Zungki River and Kiusam Town from October 3 to 31, 2025.
Vehicular movement will be restricted during the following hours: 3 am to 6 am, 8am to 12 noon, and 2 pm to 5pm.
According to DIPR report, the restrictions are being implemented to facilitate and expedite earth cutting, road resurfacing, and the installation of new drainage pipes under the project “Improvement of Road from NH-202 Junction to Pokphur via Phelungre, Kiusam HQ (Kiphire)”.
The work is being executed by North East Construction (NEC), Chumukedima, under the Department of PWD (R&B), Nagaland. The public has been advised to plan their travel accordingly to minimize inconvenience. NEC has been directed to ensure the site is properly secured and that the work is completed within the stipulated time. It was further stated that medical emergencies and essential government duties will not be obstructed by the restrictions.
