ADCs & ROs inform on ULB polls

In view of the ensuing Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls scheduled on June 26, Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) and Returning Officers (ROs) have issued directives to be followed by candidates.


According to DIPR reports, ADCs and ROs have informed that the nominations have to be submitted any day from June 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and not later than June 11, 3 p.m.; list of validly presented nomination papers, June 12; scrutiny of validly presented nomination papers, June 13; list of validly nomination candidates, June 14; Filing of revision application and disposal, June 15; Last date for withdrawal of candidature June 18, up to 3 p.m.; list of contesting candidates and list of polling stations, June 18, after 3 p.m.; date of poll, June 26, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Date of Re- Poll, if any, June 28; counting and declaration of results, June 28, 8 a.m. onwards.


Mon: ADC and RO Mon Town Council (MTC), K Temjennaro Longkumer, has informed that election will be held for a member to Ward No. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11 of the MTC municipality, with Ward No. 1,4,7 and 10 reserved for women.


Mokokchung: ADC and RO Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), Chumlamo Humtsoe, has informed that election will be held for a member to Ward no. 2,3,5,6,8,9,11, 12,14,15,17 and 18 of the Mokokchung Town Municipality, with Ward No. 1,4,7,10,13 and 16 reserved for women.
