Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers Union (DDADU) has informed that it was strictly adhering to the district administration order on the autorickshaw drivers to compulsorily carry their identity card and wear uniform while on duty.
In a press release, DDADU president Tito Yeptho and general secretary Temjen Lkr urged the public to board only those autorickshaws of drivers wearing proper uniforms. It also asked commuters to note down registration number of autorickshaw.
In case of any loss of articles or pickpocketing by the drivers, the union said it would not entertain complaints of passengers having no knowledge about the autorickshaw.
Meanwhile, DDADU has appealed for contacting its office in the event of any argument between the drivers and the passengers.
