DIMAPUR: Advisor for New & Renewable Energy, Er. Picto Shohe, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Sanjay O’ Neil Shaw, Deputy Director General, Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati on June 22, to discuss matters relating to meteorological studies and the need for a dedicated Energy Meteorological Cell in the Department.
According to a DIPR report, during the interaction, the Advisor expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by the RMC and emphasized the importance of strengthening renewable energy utilization in Nagaland. He highlighted the role of meteorological data in supporting energy planning and management.
The advisor was accompanied by secretary, New & Renewable Energy Department, Linda Solo, director NRE, Er. James Khala and other officials from the Department of New & Renewable Energy.
