In a major political development, advisor NDPP, T. N. Mannen resigned from the party and joined BJP.
In his resignation letter dated January 17, 2023 addressed to the NDPP president Mokokchung region, Mannen claimed that ruling NDPP suffered from lack of transparency and consistency in management of party affairs mainly due to arbitrary handling of the party matters by a few.
The letter further stated that a meeting was conducted on January 17 at the residence of the treasurer at Kubolong that was attended by party office bearers, executive members and all unit representatives and thoroughly discussed the political scenario in the state including party matters.
After his resignation, T.N. Mannen enrolled his membership to the BJP at Mokokchung in the presence of Imolemba Jamir, president BJP Mokokchung district.
