Agape College held its 28th convocation programme at its chapel hall, Padumpukhuri, Dimapur on Tuesday.
In a press release, Agape college informed that while delivering the dedicatory prayer and message, NBCC former general secretary, reverend Dr Anno Keikung stated that the word of God was so powerful that it transformed and reformed people’s life.
When we read the word of God it makes an impact in our life, he stated.
Dr. Keikung lamented that speaking the truth and correcting the wrong were lacking in the churches today. We need to preach the word of God in season and out of season, he said, and encouraged the students to go out with the power of the Holy spirit and equipped with the word of God.
At the programme degrees and awards was given out by academic Dean Anato and college principal Dr Samuel Venuh.
Altogether, 13 students were conferred Bachelor of Theology, 13 on masters of divinity and four on MA holistic child development.
Awards and prizes on academic proficiency in different departments including biblical studies, history of Christianity, Christian ministry, religion and society, theology and ethics, scripture knowledge, best preaching award, Reverend Dr Louis Meren Ao life and ministry award and academic excellence award were also presented at the programme.
Earlier, invocation prayer was said by reverend MK Dhar, welcome address was delivered by college board chairman Dr Maong Aier (IAS) retired and scripture was read out by Tadong Longkumer while “message in a song” was presented by the college choir.
The release also informed that the college would reopen on June 15, 2022.
