AGBCN holds annual conference

The 7th annual conference of the Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) was held from January 16 – 18 at its Mission Centre, Singrijan, Dimapur, on the theme “Moving forward in the legacy of Christ with victory” 2 Cor 1:21-22.
About 270 delegates attended the conference who were administered the words of God by speakers including Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, Academic Dean of Oriental Theological Seminary, Bade, Dimapur; and Rev. Moa Lonchari, Pastor of Baptist Mission Church, Kohima.
During the annual conference, pastor K Mero of NBC Phek town and pastor Krishna Sundas of NBC Niuland, Dimapur, were ordained reverends. The annual meeting had made some resolutions concerning the ministry of AGBCN and also selected New AGBCN executive council members for the term of three years.
The new executive members are Gopal Chetri as chairman, Obed Rai as vice chairman, Narayan Bahadur as council secretary, Rohit Rai, Biru Lamgadey, Silas Chetri, SB Sunar, Mrs. Shanti Pradhan, Ms. Sovino Thapa, Tek Gurung, Chabilal Sharma, Moon Thabah, Krishna Sundas, Suraj Dudraj, Suresh Tamang, NG Tamang, Bijay Rana and Anil Sunar as members.
Meanwhile, AGBCN has expressed gratitude to the speakers Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho and Rev. Moa Lonchari for their time. It has also thanked Zierangbe, pastor Zeme Baptist Church Dimapur and Obed Rai, Academic Dean of Servanthood Bible Colleg, Dimapur, for leading in Bible study. Further, it has thanked Wongto Chingmak, pastor Chang Baptist Church, Dimapur, Am Rana, proprietor of Blue Star School, Singrijan, all the donors and volunteers.
