About 1600 registered delegates representing 347 churches from Nagaland, Manipur Hill District, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura, Arunachal, Meghalaya and Manipur gathered to celebrated the three-day golden jubilee celebration of the Assemblies of God of East India (AGEI) which started on January 14-16 on the theme “The years of God’s favour” at Bethesda Higher Secondary campus, Walford, Dimapur.
Speaking at the second day noon service, AGEI pioneer from Mumbai, Rev. H Solomon Wasker, encouraged the churches to “go out” and spread the word of God not to be gripped by fear of a “dangerous place” but instead take it as a challenge to “pull the people out of the fire” because for every believer God has given a mission. He made this reference particularly on the Nepal mission where “we” prayed for Nepal but did not go there to spread the gospel.
Wasker further urged the pastors to be alive so that people would be alive and be a “prophetic ministry” not “predicting of future”.
Speakers at the celebration were General Superintendent AGNI, New Delhi, Robert Jeyaraj, Chairman AG Mission Kolkata Dr. Ivan Satyavrata, India Area Director AGWM, USA, Rev. Bob Mc Gurty, India representative AGWM, USA, Rev. David Cawston, vice president global university USA Rev. Joel Ellis, Evangelist and Christian artist, USA, Rev.
