Agri & allied, research institutes need to coordinate: Yanthan

Highlighting the need for possible measures to equip and uplift the farming community of the state to achieve agricultural growth, advisor of Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan emphasised the need of coordination between the various agri and allied departments along with the research institutions.


In an interactive session with officers and staff of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tuensang during his visit of KVK Tuensang office on January 26, Mhathung asked agri and allied departments and the research institutions to work together to uplift the farming community.
The advisor also encouraged the technical experts to carry out research on the potential crops as per the agro climatic conditions prevalent in the district. He also inspected the different activities carried out in the farm.


During the visit, a presentation on various activities carried out by KVK was presented by ACTO, Animal Science, Dr. Temjennungsang. The advisor was accompanied by Imtichoba, MLA and chairman Tuensang District Planning and Development Board, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tuensang, deputy secretary, department of Agriculture, additional director, department of agriculture, joint directors, deputy directors and other officers from the agri. and allied department of Tuensang.
